Biodata Format for Marriage
A marriage biodata is a one-page introduction that families share before a meeting. There is no official format, but most follow the same order. Here it is, with a sample you can copy into the free biodata maker.
Sample with made-up details.
1. Top of the page
Many Hindu families start with a symbol such as ॐ or श्री and a short line like “॥ श्री गणेशाय नमः ॥”. Sikh, Christian and Muslim families often use their own symbol or none. Then comes the heading, usually just “Biodata”.
2. Personal details

Horoscope lines (rashi, nakshatra, gotra, manglik) matter to some families and not at all to others. Include them only if they matter to yours.

If the biodata will be forwarded widely, think about giving only a phone number and city instead of a full home address.
Questions people ask
How long should a marriage biodata be?
One page is usual. If yours runs longer, shorten long lines such as the address or work history. The maker tells you when it spills onto a second page.
Should the photo be on the biodata?
Most families include one recent photo with a plain background. Some prefer to send the photo separately. Both are common.
Which format is best for WhatsApp?
A JPG opens straight away in the chat. A PDF looks sharper when printed. You can download both.
